Rondegat Cottages

Rondegat offers airy and spacious cottages and a scenic 15km 4X4 trail, all with splendid views of the Clanwilliam dam and surrounding mountains and citrus orchards.

Situated only 15 km from Clanwilliam, it is the ideal base for exploring the town and nearby Cederberg area, or for a weekend or holiday of water sport on the dam. Being roughly half way up the dam, Rondegat is ideally situated for bass anglers who have quick access to the most productive waters.

While not directly on the water, the cottages all have quick and easy access to the dam. Boat launching is possible from the gravel bank.




There are 3 cottages at Rondegat, 2 with splashpool and one with Jetmaster fire-place. French doors open onto shaded stoeps from where lovely views and sunsets can be enjoyed.


Cottages sleep 5/6 people (2 bedrooms).


The kitchens are fully equipped, bedlinen is provided, bring own towels or alternatively make use of the available towel hire. All the cottages have outside braai's

Actvities Nearby

Bring your boat, 4X4, mountain bike, walking shoes, fishing rod or just a good book.

Fishing for Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass in the dam, as well as fly-fishing in the upper Rondegat and Olifants Rivers.

You can also enjoy bird watching and short hikes in the orchards or along the pristine Rondegat mountain stream.


Take the Algeria/Cederberg turn-off from the N7 ( 25 km from Citrusdal ). Follow dirt road for 1,2 km to bridge, cross river and turn left directly after bridge, proceed for 13 km and turn right at Rondegat / Accommodation sign. Use the route through Clanwilliam when travelling from the north.
