Limpopo South Africa

Limpopo, the most Northerly province in South Africa is home to the Big 5 and also Big Bass. This is the real Africa, a land of baobab trees, wide open spaces and year round summer. The low lying parts of the province make for a long growing season and consequently Bass in the region can grow very large.

Capital of the province is Polokwane, previously known as Pietersburg, and when visitors get tired of catching Bass the Kruger National Park is available for viewing big game.

There are several Bass waters in the region, the 2 largest and best known dams are Rust De Winter and Tzaneen, both home to excellent Bass. Watch this space though, Go Bassing will be including many smaller and lesser known dams in the near future.
